IMPORTANT NOTICE

On Sunday 10th March a league committee meeting was held to discuss this year’s finances.

The reduction in numbers of teams and players in the league over the last few years means that
we no longer have the funds to be able to provide the standards of trophies as in the past.

The committee discussed the only two options they felt were available

1 Reduce the standard of trophies (ie: individual cost) and provide the same number of trophies
  as in previous years.

2 Try to maintain the standard but reduce the number of trophies awarded.

Given that there are so few teams in the league and therefore less teams in the competitions
the committee feel that the best option would be to not award trophies to losing semi-finalists
in the following competitions

    9-a-side
    7-a-side
    5-a-side

Also for "Highest finish", "Least darts" and "180 scores" trophies will be replaced by certificates.

The committee regret having to do this but but the finances just aren't there to carry on as we have
in previous years. The issue of future finances will be discussed at this year's A.G.M.

FIXTURES UPDATE

The new fixtures have now been uploaded to the website. The rearranged part of the fixtures
start from July 6th. There is NO GAME ON JUNE 29th. Because of the complication in rearranging
fixtures part way through a season some teams may find they have a run of home games or away
games. This was unavoidable but be assured that by the end of the season teams will have played
the same number of home games as away games.

As a result of the rearrangement of fixtures all competition dates have remained the same except
for the Finals which have all been brought forward a month and will now take place in May 2024
not June 2024. A new Calendar has been uploaded to reflect the new dates for the fixtures etc

Hopefully we'll have no more teams falling out and we can now settle down to a full season

Good Luck to all

COMPETITIONS
